REPORT FROM A HUNGARIAN INSTITUTE FOR THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED

The following experiences have been gathered during a relatively short time of performing the activity using KikaFlik by mid-serious mentally handicapped children of 6 to 18 years of age - usually with damaged fine motor skills and troubles of co-ordination movement - nursed by a specialized kindergarten and school in Budapest XII district.

KikaFlik provides help to create/maintain and improve:

Space orientation

Perception, especially tactile perception

KikaFlik helps children with haemiplegia and stimulates them to use both sides of the body

KikaFlik is an ideal means to prepare children for various sports like table-tennis, tennis, badminton, football, skating, roller-skating, skiing (two sets required)

KikaFlik if played as a team game is ideal to create and improve the spirit of game competition (3 sets used)

KikaFlik can also be used to stretch the Achilles Tendon
